Opening Reception: Saturday 22 October, 6-8pm. Please RSVP to the gallery: info@hugogalerie.com

Hugo Galerie specialises in contemporary figurative painting, drawing and sculpture, representing an international roster of talented artists working in a wide variety of mediums. Reco Sturgis, founder of Hugo Galerie, was previously director of Axelle Fine Arts Galerie in SoHo. Axelle founded itself as a crucial part of the New York City art scene over the last twenty years but sadly, after owner Bertrand Delacroix’s passing in 2015, the gallery permanently closed. Hugo Galerie aims to keep Bertrand’s legacy alive and continue the Axelle tradition by representing many of Axelle’s artists and seeking out new ones working in a similar aesthetic.
